Wine profile
The wine profile is the page for one wine. It shows the picture, style, name, vintage, producer and origin, the expert and user scores, the drinking window, where to buy the wine and at what price, tasting notes, the other vintages, the wine's details and more wines from the same producer. From the profile you rate or taste the wine, bookmark it and add it to your cellar. Anyone can open a profile. Rating, tasting, bookmarks, your cellar and the full list of places that sell the wine need an account.

How to use it
The top of the profile
- Vintages. A strip at the top lists the vintages of the wine. Each vintage opens its own profile.
- The wine. Picture, style, name and vintage, a Liv-ex mark when the wine has a Liv-ex code, the country, region and subregion, and the producer. The origin and the producer are links to their wines in search.
- Stored in cellars. "Stored in N private cellars" counts the Vinify cellars that hold the wine.
- Scores. The expert score for this vintage. When there is none, the expert average of the other vintages, marked as an average. The same for user scores. Critic scores from Jane Anson and The Wine Independent appear when Vinify has them.
- Classification and drinking window. The drinking window shows from which year to which year the wine is best. When a vintage has no drinking window, you can ask for one: "Ask AI" on the web, the drinking window button on iOS, "Check drinking window" on Android. You need to be signed in.
Taste, rate, bookmark and cellar
- Rate opens the tasting note form for this wine. Mark as tasted (web) or Taste (apps) saves a quick tasting without a score.
- My tasting history on the web says how often you tasted or rated the wine and in how many vintages.
- Bookmark saves the wine to your bookmarks.
- Wine cellar shows your bottles of this wine by vintage. Add to cellar adds it.
Where to buy
- The price range for this vintage, or for other vintages when this one is not sold, and a line such as "Available at 2 locations & 3 stores".
- The list shows Vinmonopolet.no online first and then up to five restaurants, bars and stores with their prices. On the web the list is for signed in users; visitors see "Create free account to see availability" instead.
- See all locations (web) opens a map of all places that sell the wine, with filters for vintage, bottle size and stores or locations. See all in the apps opens the same list sorted by distance.
- Wines that suppliers offer on allocation show a "Available on request" or "Inquire" line with the supplier's web page and email.
- Business accounts on the web see two tabs: Suppliers, with prices without VAT and Add to cart, and Retail availability.
Further down the profile
- Tasting notes. Up to three featured notes for this vintage. See all opens every note with filters for expert, user and your own notes.
- Vintages. Up to five vintages with price, availability and score, and See all vintages.
- Wine details. Grapes with percentages, storing grade, production method, a Riedel glass recommendation (web), taste, aroma and color, food pairing, and the specifications: category, Vinmonopolet number, producer, vintage, origin, bottle size, alcohol, acid, sugar, packaging, cork type, selection, wholesaler and carrier.
- Related (web) and More from this producer (apps). The web also shows wines from the same region and top rated wines from the same grape.
Share
On the web, Share copies the link to the profile. Embed gives code for a small wine card on another website, with or without price and score.
On mobile
iOS. The vintages strip sits on top, followed by a card you swipe sideways: the picture (you can add a picture when the wine has none), the details, the scores, the classification and the drinking window, and the grapes. A banner shows your own tastings when you have any. The bar at the bottom holds Rate, Taste, Bookmark and Cellar. Below follow your cellar bottles, the price and where to buy, the market value for Vinify Plus and Pro, the places that sell the wine, tasting notes, vintages, origin guides, food pairing, characteristics, specifications and more from this producer. Tap the name to copy it, search it on Google or open it at Vinmonopolet. A tasting note from a Liv-ex critic opens only with a subscription. Share sends a link to the web profile.
Android. The scores, critic scores, classification and drinking window sit next to the picture. The bar at the bottom holds Rate, Taste, Bookmark and Cellar. Below follow your cellar bottles (or a sign in prompt), where to buy with See all, tasting notes, vintages, origin guides, food pairing ("Goes well with"), characteristics, specifications and more from this producer. Critic scores are locked without a subscription.
Common questions
Why does the price say "--"?
No store, restaurant or supplier in Vinify sells this vintage with a price. Other vintages may be for sale; the line under the price says so.
Why can't I see where to buy the wine?
On the web, the list of places is for signed in users, and the map of all places also needs your browser location. In the apps, allow location to see the closest places first.
Where does the drinking window come from?
From Vinify's data for the vintage. When a vintage has none, asking for one fills it in with an estimate made by AI, and the same estimate is used for the wine's other vintages.
What does "Stored in N private cellars" mean?
The number of Vinify cellars that have the wine in stock.
Why does each bottle size have its own page?
A profile belongs to one bottle of one vintage. The vintages strip and the bottle size in the details lead to the others.
Why are some critic scores or notes locked?
Critic scores and notes from Liv-ex critics open with market value: the Market value add-on on a business plan, or Vinify Plus for private users, on the web and in the apps.
