One bottle off the cellar, two ways to record it
Typed into the table
A bottle broke, one was poured for the staff, a Barolo went out with a regular. To record it you open the cellar, find the wine in the table and step its quantity down. A few clicks each time, which is why it waits until after service, and sometimes never happens.
Said to the chat
Type it in plain language: “Just popped a bottle of Barolo 2016, remove one from the cellar.” The chat finds the wine in your cellar, takes one off, and the removal shows up in cellar history. Not sure what you have? Ask first: “Do I have any bottles from Domaine Leflaive?”
Look up and remove, by typing a sentence. That is the whole of it today.
Ask, read, remove
Ask about a wine
Open the chat on your cellar home and type a wine name or a producer name in plain language. The answer comes back in the same card.
Read what it found
The chat searches your own cellar and answers with what matched: the wine, its producer, vintage and bottle size, and where it sits with the quantity there. An open bottle shows how much is left. Bottles not placed in any location come back as Uncategorized.
Tell it a bottle went out
Say how many bottles came off which wine. The bottle comes off the cellar and the removal is written into cellar history. Cellar history in Inventory
Look up a wine, take a bottle off
Ask by wine or producer, read where it sits and how many there are
Type a wine name or a producer name. The chat picks a search term out of your message and matches it against the wine names and producer names in your cellar, then returns the wines that fit, with their vintage and bottle size. It only ever sees your own cellar.
For each wine it says where it sits and how many bottles are there, and how much is left in an open bottle. Bottles that sit in no location come back under Uncategorized. It follows the conversation, so a second question can build on the first.
Locations in InventoryTell it the bottle is gone and the cellar takes it off
Tell the chat how many bottles came off which wine. It finds the wine in your cellar and takes the stated number off. The bottles come off the location the chat picks out of your message, or off the unplaced bottles first when it picks none.
The confirmation is a sentence in the chat; the cellar table and cellar history carry the new number after a reload. Removal is the one change the chat writes; asking changes nothing.

What Beta means here
AI cellar chat (Beta) looks up wines in your cellar and removes bottles from it. It does not add a wine, restock one, or move bottles between locations; the app’s own third prompt card, Add a new wine, has nothing behind it.
It is early: more on the way. Everything else on this page is what runs now, on your web cellar home, on every plan.
Two things. Ask what you have, by wine name or producer name, and it answers from your own cellar: each matching wine’s vintage and bottle size, where it sits and how many bottles are there. For an open bottle it says what is left. Tell it a bottle went out and it takes that number off the wine, and the removal lands in cellar history.
Adding a wine, restocking, logging a delivery and moving bottles between locations stay in the cellar itself; the chat does not do them. It searches by wine name and producer name, so ask by one of those.
On your cellar home in the web app, as the chat card near the top of the page, on Starter and Pro alike. Nothing to switch on, no add-on to buy; it is there from the first day of the trial.
Only downward, and only when you ask. A removal takes the stated number of bottles off the wine. A look-up changes nothing. The counts on cellar home show the new number once you reload the page.
Yes. Every removal made in the chat is written into cellar history alongside the cellar’s other transactions. If the chat says it removed a bottle and nothing changes on screen, reload the page and check cellar history: the removal is there if it went through.
It follows the conversation, so a follow-up builds on the last answer. The messages are not shown again after a reload; cellar history is the record.
