A stock count that starts from what the cellar knows
The count opens with every wine, its expected quantity and its location already on screen. You confirm what is right and correct what is not, place by place, and the latest count writes straight into the cellar, with a report for the file.

A count should verify the cellar, not reconstruct it
The clipboard count
A blank sheet against a full cellar. Everything gets counted, including the case someone already counted, and the bar fridge or the box behind the door still gets missed. Afterwards somebody types the paper into a spreadsheet, and everyone agrees not to do this again for a while.
The Vinify count
The count opens with every wine, its expected quantity and its location. You confirm what is right and correct what is not, shelf by shelf, until the uncounted list is empty. The result is already in the cellar, and the report is a click away.
The difference is the starting point: verifying numbers the cellar already keeps is a fraction of the work of producing them from nothing.
Open, walk the cellar, file the report
Open a new count
Pick the date and the count opens across the whole cellar: every wine, the quantity the cellar expects, the location it lives in. Nothing to prepare, nothing to print, and the previous counts stay on file next to it.
Confirm or correct, place by place
Filter to one room, fridge or rack and work through it. Every line is confirmed on its own, and the Uncounted only switch shows what is left, so the count is done when that list is empty, not when you run out of evening.
Export the file
The count leaves as PDF, or as Excel for the wines you confirmed or the entire cellar, with a summary by category at buying prices ex VAT.
Three things a clipboard cannot do
Search, filter, sort, confirm
Search the wines in the count, filter by location and by wine style, and sort by the previous count’s order, by product name, or by buying price ex VAT. Each row is confirmed on its own, which gives a count something a clipboard never had: a definition of done.
Wines that were never given a location are in the count too, grouped on their own, so nothing slips past just because it never made it onto a shelf.
One count is live, the rest are records
In the latest count, a corrected quantity updates the cellar inventory the moment you confirm the line, and the app says so in a banner before you start.
Open an older count and a corrected quantity changes only that count’s own report, so history stays history and an old count stays an honest record of its day.
The file the accountant asked for
Every count exports as PDF, and as Excel in two scopes: only the wines confirmed in this count, or the entire cellar inventory.
The summary totals by category, with number, value and extra at buying prices ex VAT, which is the arithmetic a year end actually needs.
A count, in six rows
Step by step, when you are ready
It starts from live numbers instead of a blank sheet. Every wine is on screen with the quantity the cellar expects and the location it lives in; you confirm what is right and correct what is not. The Uncounted only switch shows what is left, so the count is done when that list is empty.
In the latest count, yes: a confirmed line updates the cellar inventory at once, and the app tells you so in a banner before you start. Older counts are records. Correcting a quantity in one changes only its own report, not today’s stock.
PDF, plus Excel in two scopes: only the wines confirmed in this count, or the entire cellar inventory. The summary totals by category with number, value and extra, at buying prices ex VAT.
Yes. Count bottles wherever you are: you stand at the shelf and the numbers land in the cellar, with no paper stage in between. The reports come from the web app.
Yes. Select wines and move them to another location without leaving the count; a move changes the live cellar from any count. Wines since deleted from the cellar cannot be selected or moved.
They are in the count too, grouped on their own rather than under a shelf, so the count covers the whole cellar even where the cellar is not tidy yet.
