Move wines
Move wines takes bottles, and opened bottles in centiliters, from one place in your cellar to another: from a location to a location, from Uncategorized into a location, or out of a location back to Uncategorized. You pick the wines, pick the destination, then say how many bottles and centiliters to move from each place the wine currently sits in. Totals do not change; only where the bottles are.
It is part of every plan, on the web and on iOS. Android cannot move wines yet.

How to use it
On the web
- Tick the wines in the wine table (or in a stock count). The bottom bar shows Selected N wines, N bottles with Move wines. From a wine's profile, Add new location in the Quantity and locations tab opens the same dialog for that one wine.
- Choose location to move wine. The dialog shows Uncategorized and your locations; click a location to pick it (a location with sub-locations also opens so you can go deeper; use the back arrow to come up), search across all levels, or create a location right there. Select goes on.
- Set the moving location and bottle quantity to move. Move to shows the destination with Change. The table lists each selected wine with one row per place it currently sits in (its locations and Uncategorized), the Current location path, Bottles to move with plus and minus and "of N", a centiliter field "of N cl", and Max per row; the Max column header fills every row. The place you are moving to is not listed. Moving total counts wines and bottles.
- Move wines saves. You get You moved N bottles and N cl, the selection clears, and the table refreshes.
Bottles moved into a place where the wine already sits are added to that row. Centiliters that add up to a full bottle become a bottle. When a source row is emptied it disappears from the wine's locations.
On iOS
- Select wines: from a wine's dots menu choose Select, or from a folder's menu choose Select, or open the move screen from the cellar list. The screen lists wines with search, filters and sort, Select all, and a red toolbar with Move wines and Delete wines. The back label reads "N selected in {location or My cellar}".
- Move to: the location picker; Select confirms.
- Move wine: one section per wine (label, vintage, price, "N in cellar"), one row per source place with its path and "N btls. + N cl", a bottle field with plus and minus, a centiliter field, and Max; Max All at the top fills everything; Reset clears; Move wine saves. Moving nothing shows "Please set the number of bottles to move." Afterwards the cellar reloads.
- From a single wine: Move in the dots menu or Move bottles in the wine's Bottles tab go straight to the location picker and then to the quantity screen for that wine.
On Android
Not available. Android has a location picker in stock count but no way to move bottles.
Common questions
Do I have to move everything?
No. You set bottles and centiliters per source row; leave a row at 0 to keep those bottles where they are.
Can I move an opened bottle?
Yes, in centiliters. If the centiliters at the destination reach a full bottle, they turn into one.
Why is the destination missing from the list of rows?
Rows show where the bottles come from; the place you are moving to is never a source.
Does moving show up in cellar history?
No. Moves change places, not quantities, and write no history entry.
Does the POS see the move?
No. POS stock is the wine's total, so a move changes nothing on the till.
Can I move wines on Android?
Not yet.
