Beverage recipes
Beverage recipes are products made of several cellar items: a cocktail, a wine pairing menu, a flight. You build the recipe from ingredients you already have in the cellar, in centiliters, give it a selling price and see what it costs you. With a connected POS you can send the recipe to the till, and when it sells Vinify takes the right centiliters of every ingredient off the cellar.

How to use it
The recipes page
Open Bev recipes in the cellar sidebar (full name Beverage recipes). It is a Pro feature. The empty page explains the idea and reminds you that ingredients must be products in your cellar first, with Add your first recipe. Once you have recipes, the table lists every recipe with its contents (each ingredient with its centiliters), the buying cost, the selling price, the cost percentage, the sell to buy ratio and a Pos switch. The switch turns "Include in POS" on or off straight from the table. Click a row to edit the recipe. A red badge on a recipe name means one of its ingredients was deleted from the cellar.
Create or edit a recipe
New recipe opens "Create recipe (ex. cocktail or wine pairing)".
- Pick the ingredients on the left. Search your cellar or filter by style, and click a wine to add it (click again to remove it). Only products in your cellar can be ingredients. The list shows each ingredient's style, name, size and buying price ex VAT.
- Set the amount in centiliters for each ingredient. The cost per ingredient is its buying price for that many centiliters, and the total shows as "Buy price inc VAT" with the sell to buy ratio and the cost percentage once you enter a selling price. The example in the app: 10 cl of Dom Perignon 2008 plus 10 cl of Raveneau Chablis 2018 plus 10 cl of Ch. Lafite 1986 as a "Wine pairing menu".
- Name the recipe (for example Mojito, White russian) and set the selling price.
- Include in POS sends it to your till when saved. With Munu or Ilglu set up with explicit menu groups you also pick a POS Article group; it is required for a new recipe and cannot be changed afterwards.
- Save recipe. A recipe holds up to 25 ingredients. To delete a recipe open it and press Delete recipe.
What happens on the POS
- Recipes are sent to the till on save on Lightspeed, Munu, OnlinePOS, Favrit, Caspeco, UniPos, Baemingo and Winston, and with the daily import on Restolution. Munu and OnlinePOS receive the recipe with its ingredients; the others receive it as a plain article.
- Turning Include in POS off removes the recipe from the till on Lightspeed, Munu, OnlinePOS, Favrit, UniPos and Winston. On Caspeco and Baemingo it stays until you remove it there; on Restolution it is disabled at the next import.
- A recipe sale reaches the cellar on that system's import schedule, for most systems the next morning, and takes the centiliters off each ingredient. Munu does not report recipe sales, so on Munu the ingredients are not reduced.
- Ilglu, Susoft, Unitouch, NanoPOS, PCK and FriendlyPOS have no recipe support. You can still build recipes for costing.
In the history
A recipe sale appears in cellar history as one line for the recipe, marked with a recipe icon, plus one line per ingredient. Recipe lines cannot be undone.
On mobile
There is no recipes screen on iOS or Android. iOS shows recipe sales in the history under "Recipes"; Android shows them as ordinary history rows.
Common questions
Why can I not add an ingredient?
It must be a product in your cellar first. Add the spirit, mixer or wine to the cellar, then build the recipe.
Does a recipe sale reduce my stock?
Yes, on the systems that read recipe sales. Each ingredient loses its centiliters when the sale is imported from the POS, and a new bottle is opened when the open one runs out.
Why does an ingredient say "Deleted from cellar!"?
The product was deleted from the cellar. The recipe keeps its name and amount, but its cost is counted as zero and sales no longer reduce it. Remove it from the recipe and add the product again.
Can I change the POS article group later?
No. The group is set when the recipe is created. Delete the recipe and create it again to change it.
Can I undo a recipe sale in the history?
No. Recipe lines cannot be undone.
Are the recipe costs ex or inc VAT?
The recipe dialog totals buying prices inc VAT. The table column is labeled Buy ex VAT but shows the same inc VAT total.
