Wine lists: the wine list generator that reads from your cellar
Print the list as a PDF, share it as a live link, put the QR code on the paper itself, in English and in Norwegian. What the cellar holds is what the list shows, and the price on the live list is the price in the cellar.

A printed list starts lying the moment it leaves the printer
The list that lied
The 2018 sold out on Tuesday; the list still offers it on Friday, and the table hears that it is gone. Updating it is a ritual: edit the document, fix the layout it broke, print, cut, re-sleeve.
The list that reads the cellar
Every list is drawn from the cellar when it is opened. A new vintage appears on the lists you switched it on for, and the PDF regenerates with your paper, your fonts and your columns. What the guest scans is what is in the cellar.
Nobody reprints a list because a bottle ran out. That is the point.
From cellar to table in three steps
Switch wines on, list by list
Each wine has a wine list tab: one row per list, a Show bottle switch and a Show glass switch. A wine on the restaurant list can stay off the bar list; a wine by the glass can be on both. A wine at 0 bottles gets the app’s own warning on the tab: it will not appear in wine lists, and with nothing left to pour, neither will it by the glass. The wine list tab in Inventory
Shape the list in its settings
Set the paper, margins and orientation, put your logo on a cover page, and pick a font for each part of the list. Add the columns beside each wine, drag them and the categories into order, and switch on a by-the-glass section.
Share it as a PDF, a link or a QR code
Print or download the PDF from the preview, or copy the live link from Share live link. Switch the QR code to Visible and it prints on the list itself, encoding that same link. Guests scan it and read the same document. Lists come in English and Norwegian.
The link, the three lists, the columns
One link, read from the cellar every time it opens
Every list has a live link. Copy it from Share live link and put it wherever a link goes. The app puts it in one line: “The list will be automatically updated with every change made in your cellar.” The public page is rebuilt from the cellar on every visit, needs no login, and a phone opens it in its own PDF viewer.
The QR code encodes that same link and is one switch, Visible or Hidden. Visible, it prints at the top of the list with the caption Digital wine list, so the paper on the table and the page on the phone are the same document.
One cellar, three lists
Every cellar comes with three lists: a restaurant list, a bar list and a reserve list, say, each with a name of your own and its own logo. The same stock feeds all three, so what changes in the cellar changes on every list the wine is switched on for.
Which wines a list carries is decided wine by wine, by the bottle and by the glass separately. The lists screen then counts what is switched on for each list, by the bottle and by the glass.
Show or hide a wine in InventoryColumns you choose, formatted the way your list reads
Choose the columns a list prints: producer, wine name, vintage, bottle size, region, a private note, the price per glass, the selling price. Add one, drag it into place, drag its edge to set the width. A list you already have in Vinify keeps the layout it prints today until your first edit.
Each column has its own format. The header row prints once, per category, or per country or region. Bottle sizes print as liters, a full name or a short name, with the standard 75 cl bottle left unmarked if you like. A wine without a vintage prints NV, Non-vintage or nothing. Extra selling prices print as their own bottle and glass columns, part of Pro.
Everything on the page is a setting
Paper, cover, type, order and prices are settings, not templates. Nothing below is a special order.
Step by step, when you are ready
The list and the till read the same cellar
Switch a wine on by the glass for any list and the till can sell it; the app says so on the wine list tab. The night is rung on the till and lands in the cellar with the automatic import, and every list reads that cellar the next time it is opened.
Our team sets the POS connection up with you. POS integration is an add-on.
See POS integrationYes. Open the link and the page is built from the cellar as it stands: a price you changed in the cellar is the price the guest reads, and a wine at 0 bottles is off the list, with its wine list tab saying so. Sales rung on the till reach the cellar with the automatic import.
The same document you print. The live link opens a page headed Digital wine list with an Open PDF button, and the list opens in the phone’s own PDF viewer. No login, nothing to install, and no print, download or export buttons on the guest’s side; those belong to the owner’s preview.
Yes. The layout is settings, not templates: paper size and margins, a cover page with your logo, fonts per part of the list, the category order, and the columns beside each wine with their formats.
Switch the QR code to Visible in the list’s settings. It encodes the list’s live link and prints at the top of the list with the caption Digital wine list; there is nothing to place or size. Print the PDF and the code is on the paper.
Every cellar comes with three lists. Rename them, give each its own logo, and choose per wine which list carries it, by the bottle and by the glass. The three share one stock, so a wine at 0 bottles leaves every list it is switched on for, and the tab says so.
English and Norwegian. Column labels and the style names in the by-the-glass section exist in both. Guests do not pick a language on the public page.
Where you switch it on. Each price column has its own Show currency symbol setting, with decimals and the decimal separator beside it, and the symbol prints wherever the column shows it on the PDF you print or download. A wine can also print a blank space, POD, PPF or three stars in place of the number.
