The starting point

A cellar is money on shelves, priced from memory

Pricing blind

The list price was set when the bottle arrived, years ago for some. The market moved; the list did not. Some bottles quietly became bargains for the guest, others sit unsold above the market, and nobody can say which is which without a research afternoon.

Pricing against the market

Vinify puts Liv-ex market value next to your selling price, wine by wine. One list shows what you sell under the market and over it, a filter apart, and a second what rose and fell since last month, so repricing starts from data.

The market has an opinion about your cellar either way. The add-on lets you read it.

How it works

Match, compare, follow

  1. Wines carry their Liv-ex identity

Wines matched against Vinify's database can carry an LWIN, the Liv-ex wine number. Those are the wines the market data attaches to, on the profile and in the lists.

  2. Compare against your prices

The Selling price vs. Market value list puts your number and the market's number side by side, filterable to underpriced or overpriced, and narrowed by region or by producer.

  3. Follow the movers

The market value change list shows what rose and what fell against last month's values, so a repricing round starts with the wines where it matters.

Inside the add-on

Three reads on the same cellar

Under and over

Where your list disagrees with the market

Filter the comparison to underpriced wines and you are reading margin you left on the table; filter to overpriced and you are reading bottles that will not move at their number.

A region or a producer filter narrows the question to the shelf you are actually rethinking.

The movers

A month of the market, on your wines

Rising and falling market values since last month, for the wines you actually hold rather than an index of wines you do not.

A riser can carry a price adjustment; a faller can carry a by-the-glass decision. Either way you knew before the guest did.

On the wine profile

One bottle, its market and its critics

A wine with Liv-ex data shows its market value on its own profile, next to your buying and selling prices.

Critic scores ride along where Liv-ex carries them, from The Wine Independent and Jane Anson.

From Liv-ex, the fine wine market exchange. Wines matched against Vinify's database can carry an LWIN, the Liv-ex wine number, and those wines get market value on their profile, and in the comparison list once they carry a selling price.

Your selling price and the Liv-ex market value side by side, wine by wine, with filters for underpriced or overpriced, and a region or a producer to narrow it. It is the shortest path to the bottles worth repricing.

Market value changes for the wines in your cellar, this month against last: what rose and what fell. The window is the app's own; there is no live ticker.

No. The data attaches to wines with a Liv-ex identity, which in practice means wines matched against the database that carry an LWIN. Custom products without a match stay without market value until they are matched.

No. Market value informs; it never writes. Repricing stays yours, by hand or through the price calculator's rules, which are a separate Pro feature.

It is an add-on you attach to a Vinify plan, the same way POS integration is. You can add it during checkout or later from Plans and billing; the terms are shown there.
