The price calculator prices the cellar by your rules
Set rules over buying prices, per price range: an amount or a percentage on top, a glass price, rounding. Apply them to the whole cellar in one click; the saved rules then suggest a price as you add wines later.

Margin policy exists, the cellar never heard of it
Repricing wine by wine
There is a rule of thumb: cheap bottles carry one markup, trophies another. But it lives in someone's head and gets applied one wine at a time, so half the cellar runs on last year's arithmetic and every delivery adds a few more prices set by mood.
Repricing by rule
Write the rule once, per buying price range: what goes on top, what a glass costs, how prices round. Preview it on an example wine, apply it to the whole cellar, and let the saved rules suggest prices as you add the next wines.
The rule of thumb becomes an actual rule, and the cellar finally hears about it.
Write the rule, preview it, let it run
Define the ranges
Split the cellar by buying price: one rule for everyday bottles, another for the mid list, another for the top shelf. You choose whether the ranges read buying prices with or without VAT.
Preview on an example wine
Each rule shows its result on an example wine before anything is applied: the selling price it would produce, the glass price, the rounding.
Apply, and let the rules suggest
Apply the rules to every wine inside the ranges in one click, after a confirm dialog that says plainly it cannot be overturned. The saved rules then suggest a rule-calculated price as you add wines later.
Four decisions, one range at a time
An amount on top, or a percentage
Per range, the selling price is the buying price plus an exact amount or plus a percentage, whichever matches how you think about that shelf.
The buying price the rule reads is your choice too: with VAT or without, one switch for the whole form.
Glass prices and clean numbers
The by-the-glass price is a percentage of the selling price or an exact value, set in the same rule.
Rounding lands the result on numbers a list can wear: to the closest 5, 9, 10, 25, 50 or 100, or no rounding at all.
What the rules never touch
The rules apply to the default selling price only; extra selling prices are untouched. A locked selling price stays exactly where you locked it, and the screen tells you how many wines are locked before you apply.
Deleting a rule changes nothing on existing wines. The one thing that does change prices, applying to the cellar, asks first and says it cannot be overturned.
The calculator, in six rows
Step by step, when you are ready
You split the cellar into buying price ranges and give each range a rule: an exact amount or a percentage on top of the buying price, read with or without VAT. Each rule previews on an example wine before you apply anything.
Yes. Per range, the glass price is a percentage of the selling price or an exact value, so the glass follows the bottle without its own spreadsheet.
It lands calculated prices on numbers a list can wear: the closest 5, 9, 10, 25, 50 or 100. Or you switch it off and the price stands as calculated, in whole numbers.
Applying the rules overrides the default selling prices of all wines inside the defined ranges, and the confirm dialog says plainly that this cannot be overturned. Two exceptions stand: locked selling prices stay where you locked them, and extra selling prices are never touched.
The saved rules suggest a rule-calculated price as you add wines later, one click to adopt, so the pricing policy outlives the repricing afternoon. The app shows Applying prices while a large cellar reprices and tells you when it is done.
