Multiple selling prices

Multiple selling prices gives every wine up to four extra selling prices next to the default one, for example members' prices, a restaurant price next to a wine shop price, or price levels by the glass. You switch the extra prices on in the cellar settings and give each a two character id. Every wine then shows one row per extra price with its own bottle price, price per glass and glass size, and a wine list can print any of them as its own column. It is a Pro feature and web only.

How to use it

  1. Open Settings, General settings, Multiple selling prices. Without Pro the section shows a Pro badge and Save takes you to the plans.
  2. Switch on up to four rows, "Selling price #2" to "#5" (the default price is #1). Give each an id of exactly two letters or digits; lower case is turned into upper case and the id must be unique among the enabled rows. Save. The toast reads "Selling prices updated".
  3. The settings text says: "Add up to 4 extra selling prices in addition to the default selling price. Give each an identifier (max 2 characters) to tell them apart. These prices will not appear in the POS and will not be affected by the pricing calculator."
  4. On a wine's Pricing tab the default row is now marked as the default and one row per enabled id follows, each with "ID selling price", "ID price per glass" and "ID glass size". Edit a field and it saves on its own with the toast "Updated Selling price".
  5. On a wine list, the column editor offers "ID selling price" and "ID price per glass" for every enabled id. The Excel export of a list gets the same columns.
  6. Switching an id off hides its rows and columns; the prices stay stored and come back when you switch it on again. Renaming an id keeps the prices.

With an Ilglu POS connection the extra prices are sent to the POS as separate articles named with the id. While that sync runs the settings and the pricing rows show "Updating your POS system. Selling prices are disabled until this finishes." and saving again answers "Still syncing your previous changes. Please try again shortly."

On mobile

Not available. The apps show and edit only the default selling price.

Common questions

Can I name a price "Bar" or "Members"?

The id is two characters, for example BA or ME. Give the wine list column a full name in the column editor.

Do the extra prices reach my POS?

Not for most systems. With Ilglu, each extra price becomes its own article in the POS, bottle and glass, named after the id.

Does the price calculator update them?

No. The calculator changes the default selling price only.

What happens if I switch an id off?

Its rows and columns disappear and the values are kept. Switch it on again and they return. With Ilglu the POS articles are deactivated.

Do I need Pro for this?

Yes. If your plan changes to one without it, the extra prices are switched off.
