Events
Events lists wine happenings in Norway: fairs, tastings, winemaker's dinners, courses and other happenings. Each event has a page with dates, times, the place with directions, the organizer, a description, a link to buy tickets and related events. An event can feature wine lists, so visitors can see which wines will be poured and open their Vinify profiles, with Horeca prices when the organizer sets that. Any Vinify user can create an event on the web, as public (listed for everyone) or private (not listed). Events are on the web, in the iOS app and in the Android app.

How to use it
Find events
- Web: open Events in the menu. The page shows This month and the coming months, one card per event with the date, picture, category, title and place.
- iOS: open Events from the home screen. Search by title (three letters or more) and pick a category to filter.
- Android: tap Events on the home screen. Search by title and pick one or more categories.
An event page
An event page shows:
- The picture, category and title.
- Start date and End date with the weekday, and the time.
- The place, with Directions in the apps.
- The organizer and who created the event in Vinify.
- The event's website and a Buy tickets (web) or Get tickets (iOS) button when the organizer added the links.
- The description.
- The featured wine lists (web and iOS). Open a list to see all its wines, with ratings; on iOS tap a wine to open its profile.
- Related events: other events by the same organizer or in the same category.
Create an event (web)
- On the Events page click Create the event.
- About the event: choose Public (listed on Vinify) or Private (hidden, reachable by link), then add the name, category, organizer and description.
- Date, Time & Location: pick the start and end date, the times and the place.
- Wine listings: create one or more wine lists. Search for wines by name, producer or ID and pick the vintage, or use Batch import with Vinmonopolet or Vectura IDs separated by commas or semicolons. Drag lists to reorder them. Turn on Horeca prices to show Horeca prices instead of Vinmonopolet prices.
- Additional information: add the event website, a ticket link and a cover photo, then click Create the event.
On your own event you see Edit and Delete. On a wine list you can Edit list or Delete list.
On mobile
iOS. Events open from the home screen, search and notifications, and a banner on the home screen points to today's event. The event page lists each featured wine list under What you can taste with the first wines; See all opens the full lists as tabs, where you can open a wine, add a quick taste or add it to your cellar. The share button shares the event's own website. Events cannot be created in the app.
Android. The Events list has search and category chips. The event page shows the details, the website with Visit, Directions and recommended events. Featured wine lists and the ticket button are not in the Android app yet, and events cannot be created there.
Common questions
Who can create an event?
Anyone with a Vinify account, on the web.
What is the difference between a public and a private event?
Public events are listed on the Events page and in the apps. A private event is hidden from the list and reachable by link: anyone with the link can open it, and it can also be found by searching its name.
What are Horeca prices?
When the organizer turns them on, the event's wine lists show Horeca prices instead of Vinmonopolet prices.
Can I add wines that are not in Vinify?
With batch import you can add wines by Vectura ID. Wines Vinify does not know yet are listed by their Vectura label.
Why don't I see past events on the web?
The web Events page shows this month and the coming months only.
Can I get reminders for an event?
Not in the Events feature. Use the event's own website or ticket link.
