The sales your POS sends to Vinify, as a report in your cellar: what sold by category, by week and by day, what each sale cost you and what it brought in, down to every single transaction. It comes with the POS integration add-on and opens from the cellar sidebar.

The starting point

The till knows what sold, the cellar knows what it cost

Two reports, one evening

The till prints what sold and for how much. The buying prices live in the cellar, or in a spreadsheet, or in someone's head. Putting the two together is a Sunday job, so it gets done at the end of the quarter, if at all.

One report, in your numbers

Every sale the till sends arrives in Vinify next to the wine it sold, with the price you paid for it. The report reads both: sales and purchase cost side by side, by category, by week, by day and per transaction, in your cellar's currency.

Nothing is typed in. The report reads the same sales that update your stock and your cellar history.

How it fills

From the till to the report

  1. Connect the till

Add POS integration to your plan and our team connects your system with you. From then on the till's sales are imported into the cellar automatically. POS integration

  2. Sales arrive on the till's schedule

Most systems hand out their sales once a day, so for most systems yesterday's sales are in your stock, your history and your report the next morning. A few systems send sales during the day.

  3. Open Analytics in the cellar

The report opens inside Vinify, filtered to your cellar. Pick the period on each page and read it: the overview, the summary, the day by day table, or every transaction.

The five pages

From the category down to the single sale

Overview

What sold, and what an average sale is worth

Top categories by glass and by bottle, sales by wine category, and the average sale by glass and by bottle next to the average purchasing cost.

A sales summary sets this month and this year against the same period last year, and a month by month chart splits bottle sales from glass sales.

Summary and day by day

Best sellers, weekdays, weeks and days

The summary page filters by category and lists the best sellers of the period with their total sales and average buy/sell ratio, then compares average sales per weekday and sales per week with the same weeks last year.

The day by day page is a plain table: one row per day with sales, purchase price and the buy/sell ratio, this year beside last year.

Detailed insights

Every transaction, every bottle in the cellar

The transactions page lists every POS sale as a row: date, wine, category, glass or bottle, volume, quantity, origin, producer, purchase price with and without VAT, selling price, the buy/sell ratio and the market price where the wine has one, with grand totals at the bottom. Filters narrow it by name, producer, country, region, volume, glass or bottle and price ranges.

The inventory page does the same for the cellar itself: when each wine was added and last updated, its category, origin, quantity, vintage, volume, purchase prices and market price.

Yes. The report reads the sales your POS sends to Vinify, so it comes with the POS integration add-on. A business account without the add-on sees the add-on offer in its place.

Yes. Every connection imports the till's sales into the cellar, and the report reads those imported sales. What differs by system is when they arrive: most hand out their sales once a day, a few during the day.

Sales arrive on your system's import schedule. For most systems yesterday's sales appear the next morning, so the report runs a day behind the till.

They read the same sales. Cellar history shows the week's profit and sell/buy ratio above its table; sales analytics is the full report, by category, weekday, week, day and transaction, over any period you pick.

No. The apps have no analytics page; the report opens in the web cellar.
