Marketplace and orders

The marketplace lets a venue buy wine from importers through Vinify. Business accounts browse the marketplace, see each supplier's price, stock and allocations, fill a cart and place one order that Vinify splits per supplier. Each supplier confirms and invoices you directly. The Orders page in your cellar tracks every order, keeps a note per order, links to tracking and imports a delivered order into your stock. Ordering runs through Nordic Beverage Solutions (NBS), is free to use, is available in Norway, and is switched on for your venue by Vinify.

How to use it

Find wines from suppliers

  1. Open Marketplace in the top navigation, or search. Business accounts get a Supplier filter. Picking a supplier shows only that supplier's wines, replaces the vintage, bottle size, price, producer and origin filters with the supplier's own lists, and puts the supplier's name in the page header.
  2. Wine cards show the supplier price range ex VAT and which supplier has the wine. Red text means the supplier has the wine in another bottle size only.
  3. On a wine, the Suppliers tab lists every supplier that offers it, with vintage, bottle size, price ex VAT in your browsing currency, stock and an Alloc. tag for allocated wines. Set a quantity and press Add to cart. Stock is checked live with the supplier when the tab opens.
  4. A wine is on the marketplace when a supplier lists it with a price and either stock or allocation. Supplier stock and prices refresh every morning.

Your billing and delivery details

The cart shows your billing information and delivery information. Vinify fills them from your venue profile the first time: the venue name, your email and the venue address. Edit either card:

  • Billing. Organization number (nine digits, required), name, invoice method EHF or Email, invoice email when Email, street, postal code, city, phone. Country is Norway.
  • Delivery. Recipient name, street, postal code, city, care of, and a TINE customer number if you receive standard deliveries through TINE. Country is Norway. One delivery address per cellar.

The cart says what is missing. Place Order stays disabled until billing, delivery and a delivery method are in place.

Placing the order

  1. Check quantities in the cart. Each line shows the supplier, the price ex VAT, the quantity and the line total. The quantity is capped at the supplier's stock unless the wine is allocated.
  2. The summary shows products, bottles, suppliers and the total ex VAT, plus the delivery method and an estimated delivery window for your address.
  3. Press Place Order and confirm. "Supplier(s) will review and confirm your order before sending you an invoice directly. This takes between 2-24 hours."
  4. On the first order Vinify registers your venue as a customer with NBS, using the billing and delivery details. Later changes to those cards are sent to NBS as well.
  5. The order is sent to NBS, one order per supplier. Vinify empties the cart and shows the confirmation with a Go to orders button. Prices are in Norwegian kroner and exclude VAT.

The Orders page

Open Orders in the cellar sidebar. Orders is open on every cellar, with or without a plan. Each order shows the order number, status, supplier, note, order date, delivery date, products, units and total cost. The status comes from the supplier's warehouse: Draft, Open, Released, Allocated, Picked, Sent, Collected, In transit, Delivered, Postponed, On hold, Cancelled, Error or None. Hover a status for its description. Units and total cost count the bottles the supplier has confirmed, so a fresh order shows zero until it is confirmed.

  • Press Track to open the carrier's tracking page when the supplier has sent one.
  • Click a row to open the order: the lines with producer, wine, vintage, confirmed units, price and total, a note field, and Import to cellar.
  • The note is yours and saves when you leave the field.
  • Suppliers update the order through NBS; the page shows the latest status when you open it.

Without orders the page reads: "All orders places via wine importers using Nordic Beverage Solutions will be shown here. Contact ole@vinify.app to activate."

Import to cellar

Press Import on a row or Import to cellar in the order. Vinify matches each line to a Vinify wine, first by Vinmonopolet number, then by producer and wine name, and opens the import table with the confirmed quantity and the price ex VAT, with VAT added from your cellar's VAT setting for the wine's style. Review the matches and quantities and confirm; the bottles go into your cellar like any other import.

Common questions

How do I get access to the marketplace?

Write to ole@vinify.app. Vinify switches ordering on for your venue.

Do I pay Vinify for the wine?

No. The supplier invoices you directly after confirming the order, by EHF or by email as you chose in billing information.

How do I know the order went through?

It appears on the Orders page right away with the supplier's status. NBS emails you at your invoice email when the supplier confirms. Confirmation usually takes between 2 and 24 hours.

Why does my order show zero units and zero cost?

Units and cost count confirmed bottles. Until the supplier confirms, nothing is confirmed. Open the order to see what you ordered per line.

Can I cancel or change an order?

Not in Vinify. Contact the supplier. Cancelled shows as a status when the supplier cancels.

Why can I not see a wine from my supplier?

The supplier has to list it with a price and either stock or allocation, and it has to match a wine in Vinify by Vinmonopolet number or by the supplier's Vinify reference. Stock and prices refresh every morning.

Why do I see a delivery method but no choice?

Vinify picks the method for your address and cart. Standard delivery needs a TINE customer number in your delivery information.

Can my colleagues see the orders?

Every cellar registered with the same organization number sees the same orders. That is how chains with several venues share their ordering.

Why are prices in NOK?

The marketplace runs in Norway through Nordic Beverage Solutions. Prices are ex VAT.
