Finding, rating and tasting wine, the places that pour and sell it, and the people you follow, in the Vinify app.
- Wine search and filtersSearch finds wines in the Vinify wine database while you type. The same box also finds producers, countries, regions, subregions, grapes, wine styles, events, wine places and experts. Picking a wine opens its wine profile.
- Wine profileThe wine profile is the page for one wine.
- Tasting notes and ratingsA tasting note records that you tasted a wine. It holds the vintage, a score from 50 to 100 points or no score, your own words, a photo, where you tasted it, who you tasted it with and the date. Expert accounts can also recommend a drinking window.
- Wine taste sessionsA tasting session is a private list for tasting many wines in one go: a wine dinner, a blind tasting, a trade fair. You add wines by name, write quick notes and give points from 50 to 100, and everything saves as you type.
- Wine guide and 100-point scaleWine guides are short articles about where a wine comes from: the producer, the region and the subregion. Each guide has a text and often a photo.
- BookmarksBookmarks save wines to come back to later. You can bookmark a wine from its profile, from search results, from a tasting note or from the Wine of the Day.
- Restaurants and tasting locationsEvery place where people drink wine can have a page in Vinify: restaurants, wine bars and any other place a user names when they write a tasting note.
- Recommendations and check-insA recommendation is a short post about a restaurant, wine bar or other place: a comment, a photo, or both. Some app texts also call it a check-in.
- Stores and where to buyVinify knows every Vinmonopolet store in Norway: its address, its position on the map and its opening hours, updated from Vinmonopolet every night. You can find the stores near you, see whether they are open now, get directions and mark your favorite stores.
- EventsEvents lists wine happenings in Norway: fairs, tastings, winemaker's dinners, courses and other happenings. Each event has a page with dates, times, the place with directions, the organizer, a description, a link to buy tickets and related events.
- Profiles, following and rankingsEvery Vinify user has a profile with a picture, name, wine level or job title, a short bio and links to a website and Instagram.
- NotificationsNotifications tell you when something happens around your wine activity: someone likes your tasting note, someone you follow publishes a note, someone starts following you, or someone tags you in a note or a recommendation.
- Wine of the dayEvery morning Vinify picks a Wine of the day: the public tasting note from the day before that got the most likes, on a wine that can be bought.
- VinifAI food and wine matcherVinifAI is a chat assistant in the iOS app that suggests wines from one store. You describe the food and your budget, and VinifAI answers in text and shows the wines it recommends as cards with the picture, price, availability and expert rating.
