Bulk actions
Bulk actions let you change many wines at once. On the web you tick rows in the cellar table and a bar appears with three actions: set a wine list category, move the bottles to another location, or delete the wines from the cellar. In the iOS app a selection screen offers Select all, Move wines and Delete wines. Android has no bulk actions.

How to use it
On the web
- In the cellar table, tick the checkbox at the start of a row. Tick as many rows as you need; the selection survives scrolling and paging within the table. The bar at the bottom counts the selected wines and their bottles.
- Choose an action:
- Edit category opens the category popover. Search or type a name, click a category or a subcategory to set it on the whole selection, or choose "Create ... category" or "Create ... as a subcategory" to make a new one and assign it. The toast reads "Category changed".
- Move wines opens the move dialog for the selection. Moving has its own article.
- Delete selected asks "Delete N bottles?" and warns: "Are you sure you want to delete these wines from your cellar? They will be permanently removed along with all their information." Confirm to delete. The toast reads "Wines deleted".
- Unselect all clears the selection.
The same bar appears in a stock count with Move wines and Delete selected, without Edit category.
On mobile
iOS. On a wine card choose "Select wine", or on a folder choose "Select". The cellar opens in selection mode with the same search, filters and sort as the inventory; the title reads "N selected in My cellar" or the folder name. Tap wines to select them. The toolbar has Select all (Deselect all when everything is selected), Move wines and Delete wines. Move wines asks for a location and then for the quantity per wine. Delete wines removes the selection at once. With nothing selected the buttons show "No wines selected to move" or "No wines selected to delete".

Common questions
Is there a select all?
On the web, no. You tick rows one by one. The iOS app has Select all, which selects the wines loaded so far in the list.
Can I change prices or styles for many wines at once?
Not with bulk actions today. The price calculator changes selling prices by rule. Bulk actions cover the wine list category, the location and deletion.
Can I get deleted wines back?
No. Deleting removes the wine and its details. The deletion is recorded in the cellar history and cannot be undone from there. Add the wine again if needed.
What happens to recipes and history when I delete a wine?
Recipes that used the wine keep a copy of its name, vintage, size and style. History lines keep a snapshot of the wine, so old transactions still read correctly.
Does the bar apply to every wine in a filter?
No. Only the rows you ticked. Filtering the table does not select anything.
